I, the developer of Neda Podcast, respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Neda Podcast mobile application and related services.
1. Information I Collect
I collect a minimal amount of data solely to provide and improve the app experience:
- Account Information: name, email address, and login credentials you provide when creating an account.
- User Activity: likes, comments, bookmarks, and podcast view/listen counts.
- Log Data: device type, operating system version, app version, and basic diagnostic logs to help me fix bugs and improve performance.
- Push Notification Tokens: device tokens used only to send notifications you have opted in to receive.
- Offline Downloads: podcast files saved locally on your device for offline listening (this data stays on your device).
2. How I Use Information
All collected data is used exclusively to operate and improve the app. Specifically:
- To provide core features: streaming, downloads, bookmarks, comments, and account management.
- To understand how users interact with the app so I can fix issues and improve the experience.
- To send push notifications you have opted in to receive.
- To maintain the security and stability of the app.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (Where Applicable)
I process personal data based on one or more of the following legal grounds:
- Your consent (for example, for optional notifications).
- Performance of a contract (providing app functionality you request).
- Legitimate interests (service improvement, security, fraud prevention).
- Compliance with legal obligations.
4. Third-Party Services
The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (by Google) solely to deliver push notifications. Firebase may collect limited technical data as described in Google's Firebase Privacy Policy. Apart from Firebase, I do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
5. Sharing of Information
I do not sell, trade, exchange, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your data is used only to operate the app. The only exception is if I am legally required to disclose information by law, regulation, or court order.
6. Data Retention
I retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including legal, accounting, and security requirements. Offline files you download remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- Access, update, or delete your personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Request a copy of your data (data portability).
You can also manage permissions such as notifications through your device settings.
8. Account & Data Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from within the app settings. When you delete your account, all personal data associated with it — including your profile, likes, comments, bookmarks, and activity history — will be permanently removed from the servers. Locally stored offline downloads must be removed by uninstalling the app or deleting them manually. You can also request account deletion by emailing privacy@nedapodcast.com.
9. Security
I use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data. All data transmitted between the app and the servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS). However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Tracking
I do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. I do not use any advertising identifiers, and I do not participate in any ad networks. The app does not request access to Apple's IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) or Android's Advertising ID.
11. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.
12. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. When required, I use appropriate safeguards to protect personal information transferred across borders.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may update this Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app.
